Given those exact choices, here is why. Sport 500: Excellent turbo upgrade. While they are not too much bigger than stock, they are enough to make the car quite powerful. What people also forget is that not only are they larger, but you can run more peak boost on them. Whereas the stock turbos can take a maximum of around 19psi, the Sport 500s can run 22-24psi. Excellent spoolup and VERY reliable turbo. Some people have over 100,000 miles on them. Sport 530BB: Another excellent turbo upgrade. Very similar to the Sport 500 but it slides over a bit on the power/spoolup scale. What I mean is, the spoolup is a little bit longer than the Sport 500 but you gain more peak top end power. From a dead stop, the Sport 500 car with equal mods/driver will take a decent lead on the Sport 530BB car but the 530BBs will catch up and pass the 500 car on the top end. Of course, they are also ball bearing which is a plus. They wont start spooling quicker but once they DO start spooling, they get up to speed quicker. Read that again, it is kind of confusing but it does make sense. That's a concept most people don't understand with ball bearings. It's not that the starting spool point is moved up, just that when it does to, it gets to peak quicker. This is a plus, but a costly addition. But cost isn't a factor, right? Sport 600: Another good turbo, but this one goes even further down the power/spoolup scale. Again, with equal modifications this turbo will be the laggiest of the three. While there have been no complaints about the lag on 500s or 530s, there are some mixed feelings on the Sport 600s. That is not to say they are BAD turbos, but they do walk that thin line of acceptable lag for a car that is driven on the street. This turbo is perfect for someone who wants even more peak power and highway ability but doesn't mind losing a bunch of boost response compared to stock. So in my opinion, the best turbo of the three is the Sport 530BB (all money aside). It offers very low lag compared to most other turbo upgrades, offers peak power over 500RWHP and the area under the curve is very impressive. It makes great power throughout the powerband unlike the larger turbos that take more time to spool. Again, this is how I see it and I've experienced cars with all three turbos, in person out here in SoCal. All three will be damn quick, just in different ways. Good luck in your choice and don't close your mind to any input. Others will have other advice...take it all in :)
